The Seekers: Black Hole

"You look delicious."

Nicknamed Black Hole after its seemingly endless appetite, this mysterious, cloaked figure is held together by nothing but an ominous, floating head. While Black Hole appears to be harmless, the inner lining of its cloak is coated with a strange and powerful energy field, allowing the greedy glutton to gobble up anything in its path.

After catching a whiff of something sweet radiating from the Surface, Black Hole began sucking up the tiny planet to give it a taste. The inhabitants of the Surface believed that, like all Seekers, Black Hole desired nothing other than the Diurnal Drive—a magical encyclopedia buried deep within the planet’s core that has the potential to manipulate all of time and space.

Luckily, all the giant bedsheet wanted was one of Daifuku Satou’s world-famous strawberry flavoured rice cakes. Never one to let down a potential customer, Daifuku cooked up a fresh batch, agreeing to sell them free of charge if Black Hole promises to regurgitate half of the planet it devoured as a starter.

Stuffed and satisfied, Black Hole kept its promise, and even threw up a missing page of the incomplete Diurnal Drive as a tip for excellent service, before heading back to the stars.
