The much, much, much long-awaited summer comic! It’s still summer over here in Japan though, and will be all the way until the end of September at this rate.
I’ve also decided to change how speech bubbles appear, my reasons being the old bubbly ones took up way too much space within each panel and some people were mistaking them for think bubbles!
Anyhoo, back on track. What did you get up to for summer this year? Me? I Stayed indoors and played games while watching my fan merge with my floorboards.

Mmm nope, I think her shoulders aren’t as broad as what they usually are though which might be what is giving it off.

It’s the swimwear. Take a look at the cast page or the banner (just for ease of reference). Lacie’s boobs are usually corralled closely together with that zipper covering up her cleavage. Here they’ve been freed to roam and are spread wide apart.
If you think of Lacie as being a certain cup size (I was going to say B but then remembered there’s no standardized size guide) as a frame of reference, they’re still the right size.
It might also be Shelbie in the same position right below who looks just 2 sizes bigger while her boobs are in their usual, cramped compound.

Keep in mind I JUST learned how to actually create pages and edit them today so ya, work in progress. Needs to be indexed, cross-referenced (i.e. all those tropes I’ve linked to need to link back to that page as well), and filled out (I believe it needs somewhere in the area of 40-50 tropes to be “acceptable”).
But all in due time. Though btw Jkun, I couldn’t think of a good quote that “summarizes” Crazy Sunshine from the comic or a single panel that’d do well for a page image (the banner is currently missing Diafuku so I don’t want to use that). Any suggestions are welcome.

Currently looking for a good character/comic quote for italicization at the top. Was going to use, “Let’s blow up the planet, one comic at a time.” but A) it’s on Jkun’s Google+ site and I didn’t want to make it look like an advertisement and B) it’s not a character/comic quote.
The first comic also sizes up the series nicely but it relies too much on visual ques to work well as just a quote.
Something that nicely summaries the series in concept or in feeling would be preferable. 8-Bit Theater and The Wotch have good examples of what I’m looking for on their pages.

In other news, I flippin’ finally got an image uploaded after 10 tries and 4 different file formats (if anyone can get a better quality picture uploaded feel free to replace the >50k .gif that I barely got Tvtropes to accept). The picture comes from the Google+ about page (same as the quote I like) and pretty perfectly fits at 250 x 250 pixels in size.
You have to use Tvtropes’ Image Uploader (which requires having gotten “known” so that you can edit posts and so forth) as Tvtropes doesn’t accept hotlinked images.
Can we keep big long comments not about the comic in E-Mail?

From what I understand, urine is actually detrimental to a jellyfish sting. Or is that Candy’s intention, to add insult to Lacie’s injury?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe any hot/warm water is what soothes the pain, and without any of that on tap at a beach during summer, pee could be a close second!
However yeah, I think it has been proven to have other chemicals in it that could be bad for the wound!
Actually urine is sterile and has been used to clean wounds throughout much of history. (Also, on occasion, to put out fires.) (And any other effects would be fairly minor, in any case.)
Actually, a look on a couple medical treatment sites (and wikipedia) says that using either water or urine would cause the barbs already injected into the skin to secrete more of the venom into the body, whereas vinegar (or salt water if vinegar is unavailable) can prevent additional venom from being injected from the jellyfish sting.
Using urine does indeed have the potential to cause serious damage, even death if the sting covers enough of the body.

Also I fail to see the connection to Friends and my strip other other than peeing on jellyfish wounds.
In my strip Lacie was tricked into walking into Jelly-fish filled waters by Candy, intending on her getting stung. In friends, simply the act of peeing on stings was the punchline, the setup to the joke was Monica’s sheer embarrassment and how weird it was during the story’s retelling.
Peeing on someone to cure jellyfish wounds is an “idea” then it has also appeared in other forms of media, like many western cartoons and even in TV such as Lost. It’s more of a general “This is what people do when they are stung by a jellyfish” idea rather than “Oh this came from Friends”!
